As you probably already know, IMA GALLANT JET died in April of 2003. It was a huge loss for the horse community and us. He was truly a great horse in the show ring and as a sire. He will always be remembered by those that had a chance to see him compete, those who had a chance to perform with him, and those that were fortunate enough to have one of his get.
It seems like for every low there is a high. Thanks to Mack, we have found our way out of the low and now we are soaring higher than ever before. When we purchased Mack, from our good friend Patty Hammer, we knew he had an injury to his back right leg and our reason for buying him was for breeding purposes only. It did not take long for my vet to convince me we had a shot to make him sound once again. After collecting as much information as possible about the injury to Mack, we developed a plan to perform a surgical procedure on the injured area. The procedure was a success and we have huge hopes of seeing hin perform in the show ring. We are still not out of the woods yet. Mack will need one more procedure performed on the injured area to remove some scar tissue buildup. With breeding season just around the corner, timing of this procedure may have to be delayed.
When you hear people talk about different horses, you will hear them say, "he sure had a great daddy or he sure has a great momma". Mack has them both. His sire is the #1 lifetime western pleasure honor roll stallion and his dam is known by almost everyone that has followed the paint horse industry over the past 10 years. The dams name is MS SPUD MCKENZIE; she is the dam of SCOTCHMANS SILVER who is a multiple world champion mare in western pleasure and western riding. She is the dam of MCKENZIES SCOTCH. A gray tobiano stallion that was third at the world in western pleasure, an NSBA winner, earner of 153 APHA point and multiple superiors. She is the dam of GIMME A SCOTCH an APHA Champion and earner of multiple superiors and the dam of MR MCKENZIE earner of multiple superiors and 219 APHA points. In my opinion Mack has the best pedigree of any stallion in the industry.
Jet made it possible for me to build many relationships in the paint horse industry and I am confident that Mack will help me continue those relationships and open doors to many new ones. Contact us today for your video of Mack. I hope that when you are making your 2004 breeding decisions that you will consider breeding your mares to this great young stallion. We will continue to offer discounts and as always we will do everything possible to make your experience with Holloway Paint Horse Farms a pleasant one.
